Where have the years gone? I remember working with you in the very first ICC 'studio'. It had rather rather naf wallpaper and varnished wooden wall lights with tassled flock shades! it was actually a carpeted front room with a couple of microphones! We spent many hours making some early Christian albums there and some of the 'greats' like Graham Kendrick cut their recording teeth there. We got to know one another pretty well and as I was a fairly new and growing Christian, I learned much from your life and manner on how to behave. On occasion I brought my wife Jackie down and we had a couple of breaks in Eastbourne and I believe actually swapped houses for a holiday or two. You and Elisabeth were extremely kind and generous to us at a time when we were surviving sometimes on food handouts and we'll never forget that kindness. During those long years of the studio's continuing expansion you always remained the same person - patient, sympathetic, with time for everyone. Elisabeth too took care of artists and musicians alike with special cakes and coffee and always had such encouraging comments to make. Jackie and I want to send our love to you both as you venture into whatever the Lord has for you in the days to come. No matter what the future may hold, whoever is on the receiving end of your attention and care will be blessed - of that I'm sure. Thank you both for your love and friendship. The best is yet to come!
