Greetings from Len & Heather Magee

Thankyou for giving us the opportunity to write to Helmut and Elisabeth on this special occassion. They are indeed such a precious couple and have deeply impacted our lives. Please would you read or give this message to them with our fondest love.

Hi my ole special special friends. What an inspiration you have both been to our lives.
I remember vividly when you used to walk arm in arm through the corridors of Elim Bible College and lovingly call each other 'Shatzy'. I looked at you often and thought ' I'd like a marriage like that !!!' You were such amazing mentors, although you probably were quite unaware of how impacting your love actually was.

Then there was the season when we were recording. We were all practising and learning our crafts. Helmut, cool and calm, whilst Elisabeth chattered constant encouragement. Eventually, through the wonders of Gods ever surpassing sovereign grace, we ended up recording together in ICC Eastbourne.

One of my most precious memories is when I was recording a song I'd written called 'This ole mountain shall be removed'. Elisabeth was singing backing, with her sweet bell - like voice and suddenly,halfway through the song I looked up and saw she was gently weeping. My heart was so touched as the Holy Spirit gently filled the studio with His presence.

Do you remember when Heather and I left for Australia and you gave us a farewell meal at your home in Eastbourne? Your beautiful children were tucked up in bed fast asleep and during the meal you brought out a bottle of red wine that you'd been saving since St Thomas went to India. How kind you both were!!!!! That meal was certainly memorable.

Much water had gone under the bridge since then. How many stories could we all tell of Gods goodness and faithfulness in our lives. One day we'll be in heaven together - how awesome to be in that testomony meeting when we all get to share the wonders of the Lords amazing grace to us all !!!! Until then, know that you have admirers in a far away land downunder !!! Every memory of you both is precious.
