Helmut and Elisabeth: You have embodied for me those glorious Christian virtues – faithfulness, perseverance, courage and steadfast affection. Through the 30 years that I have known you, you have not failed to be those things. Any time I have come up with a question, you have sought to find a creative answer, and always, at the back of it all, there has been this steady commitment to friendship that goes way beyond a merely commercial relationship. I am delighted to know that God has given you a fresh call on your life and that does not surprise me at all. Your steadfastness in carrying out the task which He first gave to you over 30 years ago is an indication of people who listen to the voice of God and walk in obedience to it. I pray that the Lord will continue to guide you in the future and that you will find fresh impetus, vitality and excitement from the new task He puts before you.
